Swedish Dala horses and rooster by Olsson, Swedish folk art, 1960s
The Dala Horse and Rooster is a traditional carved, painted wooden statue and was mainly used as a toy for children. In modern times it has become a symbol of Sweden in general. One of the small horses is marked with the label of Grannas A. Olsson Hemslöjd. The large horse and rooster are labeled from Nils Olsson Hemslöjd. The wood from which the figures are carved comes from the pine tree.
The measurement of the large horse is 17 cm high, 16 cm wide and the depth is 5 cm
The rooster is 20,5 cm high. the smaller horses are 4 cm and 3 cm high.
