A Spanish carved-wood capital wall bracket from the 19th century. This antique architectural wall ornament from Spain features a rectangular-shaped top, which rests upon a trapezoidal shaped body below, which tapers down towards it’s flattened underside. The bracket has been nicely carved with large floral garland about it’s top ledge, while an oval-shaped plaque adorns the front center, within carved floral and scroll carved embellishments. This piece has a natural wood finish, which has a wonderful patina throughout, and remnants of old paint. Note that there are metal support braces along the topside, which would not be visible depending on the height placement of this piece. This 19th century Spanish capital top wall bracket would be a lovely way to display art and decor, or simply as a way to add a cheerful architectural touch to an otherwise drab wall space.
