Neri & Hu Dressing Table ‘The Narcissist’ Swarovski Crystals and Oak by BD

The Narcissist is designed in China and is manufactured in Barcelona. It seems to be totally the opposite to what the world is doing, but is a sign of what’s to come. In Lyndon and Rossana’s works, features of contemporary western design converge with traditional oriental roots.

Dressing table: Main body in beech plywood with the outer sides in DM lacquered in glossy black. The inside is solid oak with a natural varnish. Outer structure in iron and aluminium painted in micro-textured black. Mirror with concealed Led lights. Upper grille in plywood with Swarovski glass. The piece has a lock.
Stool: External structure in micro-textured black steel. Seat upholstered in black leather.

About the designers:
Lyndon Neri (Filipinas, 1965) y Rossana Hu (Taiwan, 1968), Architects. Have together become one of the most dynamic design forces in China today. They moved to Shanghai in 2002 while working for American architect Michael Graves on his renovation of that city’s landmark Three on the Bund project.
