Vintage Design
We are selling this great rare German Mettlach charger. This large 17.5″ charger has neoclassical style decoration of a central figure surrounded by a classical allegory and an industrial allegory. The decoration is executed in pate-sur-pate phanolith white on green, a style popularized by Wedgwood’s Jasperware. The back of the charger is marked for Mettlach and VB for Villeroy & Boch.
