French Weathered Carved Stone Labrador Dog and Puppy Sculptures – Set of 2

Carved of stone, the tall Labradors are set on an rectangular flat base; seated on their back legs, both dogs have a proud expression further embellished with a collar around their neck and two puppies hiding under their legs. Circa 2010, the garden sculptures adorn a patinated antique weathered finish with evidence of outdoor use. Both stone canines are in excellent condition and could be used on either side of a front door. Each dog weighs 150 pounds.
Labradors, specifically Labrador Retrievers, were originally bred as working dogs, primarily for retrieving game during hunting. They have a strong retrieving instinct and a gentle mouth, making them ideal for fetching game without damaging it. Their versatility, loyalty, and affable nature make them wonderful companions and working partners, contributing to their widespread popularity as one of the most beloved dog breeds worldwide.
