Vintage Design
The service is named after Louis Nicolas Davout, Duke of Auerstaedt, Prince of Eckmühl, was born on May 10, 1770, in Annoux, Burgundy, and died on June 1, 1823, in Paris. His last name is also spelled Davoust, as is attested by field regiment documents and the inscription of his name on the East pillar of the Arc de Triomphe. He was a French general of the Revolution and the Empire, elevated to the dignity of Marshal of the Empire by Napoleon in 1804.
Composed of 84 pieces: 12 tumblers, 12 champagne flutes, 13 water glasses, 18 red wine glasses, 13 white wine and 16 liquor glasses.
