Fabulous handmade carved walnut chairs from France. detailed carvings of birds and botanicals. backs of chairs each have a cartouche carving with two birds and swags of berries and greenery that trellis down each side. Every part of these chairs has well done carvings that match perfectly. Sturdy cane backs and seats. Slight damage to one chair along the side of back cane as photographed and slight damage to cane seat on one chair also on back area to one side photographed as well. Made from walnut these pieces are sturdy and secure. Handmade nails original to chairs. No arms on any of the chairs, typical for this style. Amazing for a lodge or upscale cabin, wine room breakfast area or dining room.
