Anémone rug by François Dumas Anemone is a rug inspired by a painting in which brushstrokes imitate the movements of sea anemones. The rug is handmade by artisans in Portugal who tuft and cut the wool to obtain a raised design, reproducing the anemone’s shades. Materials: 100% wool, hand-knotted. 100.000 knots/sqm. Finishes: Shades of blue / grey / or red, and pure white / beige background François Dumas is a French designer based in Amsterdam. His work has been shown in various exhibitions and he won the Villa Noailles’s grand prize in 2010 for the Sealed chair. He is also a founding member of the Krux collective that involves designers, artists, and craftsmen.
