Old chrome-plated tubular steel sofa by designer Robert Slezak, completely restored: new foams, new fabric by a professional upholsterer.
Its art deco look owes its elegance to its generous armrests which form a harmonious curve with the base, making this sofa as original as it is decorative.
It is classified as functionalist furniture characteristic of the Bauhaus period which notably initiated the use of chrome-plated tubular metal in interior furniture. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
