This exceptional antique glass ashtray has a globular form.
The surface of the glass body is embellished with impressive acid etched scrolling leaf and floral decoration.
The upper portion of this example of antique silverware retains the original hallmarked 916 standard silver mount, accented with a plain broad border to an impressive embossed scroll and leaf decorated shaped design.
This impressive antique glass ashtray is surmounted with an impressive silver oriental figure, sat crossed legged and holding in his hand an elongated pipe.
The rim of the mount incorporates a concave oval shaped cigarette receiver.
Condition
This antique ashtray silver mount is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The glass body is in perfect condition. The Spanish hallmarks struck to the surface of the mount are clear; the maker’s mark to the upper potion and the standard mark are very clear.
