A Spanish carved and painted wood table with drawers from the 19th century (possibly older). This antique table from Spain is very unique and quite lovely with its rustic wood top which overhangs a deeply set apron adorn on all sides in carved checkered patterns painted in alternating colors. Three nicely-sized drawers are housed horizontally along one long side that open up easily (it’s a plus for a table of that age!). The table is presented upon four squared and tapering legs with carved embellishments about the knees and just above the feet. The hand-painted finish (which is not original but old) is comprised of deep green hues with yellow, browns and reds. The wood top has wonderful age and patina to it. The clearance from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 19.75″ H. This fabulous 19th century Spanish table, with its floatability makes it a great candidate for endless functionality in your home; perhaps as a console, serving table, a center table, or even a kitchen island!
