These exceptional antique Spanish silver plates have a circular incurved shaped form with a sunken plain circular central well.
The well of these silver dinner plates are plain and unembellished.
The raised shaped border of these impressive examples of Spanish silverware are encompassed with an applied border, paralleling the incurved rim.
Due to the nature and composition of each plate, in addition to the hallmark shape and inclusion of the mark ‘Vega’ (Province: Asturias), it has been determined that these exceptional plates have Spanish origin.
Condition
This antique set of four silver plates is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
There is some surface wear to the well of each plate, in keeping with the age and use.
The Spanish hallmarks struck to the underside of each plate are clear, in keeping with age.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Spanish silverware.
