with the Rosenthal studio-line Magic Flute Weiß, the Danish artist Björn Wiinblad created one of the most magnificent forms made of porcelain in 1968. He translated many scenes from Mozart’s world-famous opera on porcelain in filigree reliefs. Excerpts of the opera text are burned into the underside of the service parts. The Rosenthal studio-line Magic Flute Weiß is the most valuable and technically most complex porcelain service ever developed by Rosenthal. The fascinating interplay of smooth porcelain parts and elaborate reliefs are enchanting opera melodies turned into porcelain.
