Macau Style porcelain centerpiece, Guangxu pps. s. XX – China
Exceptional centerpiece in Chinese porcelain, hand painted, made in the first quarter of the 20th century, following the style of the Guangxu period, of the Rosa Family type. Pink Family is the name given in Europe to a certain type of Chinese porcelain, which starting in the 18th century included glazes of this color to the previous palette of greens, yellows, reds and blues. Currently, the Rosa Family porcelain pieces are highly valued for their beauty and fine decoration.
This porcelain piece is bowl-shaped, its profile is multi-lobed, giving the sensation of an open flower, emphasized with the gold on its upper edge. It is decorated with a multitude of elements of different colors, bringing joy to the white base. Inside, the center, a magical forest is represented with birds and an orange chilin or Chinese unicorn. It is a fantastic and hybrid animal, from Chinese mythology, and which brings with it a good omen. Likewise, the large pine tree on the hill draws powerful attention. To complete the ornamentation, a large red border where four floral cartouches and eight Chinese ideograms of good omen appear. On the outside, the same elements are repeated. Sealed on the base with calligraphy in red, it has an openwork wooden base.
This centerpiece is perfect for decorating any space in the house, as if it were a vase, on a shelf, console or sideboard. It will add a unique and original touch to your home! In very good condition with age and use.
