Vintage Design
A bas-relief painting in petrified limestone, also known as calcite, by sculptor CF Becker, depicting a traditional harvest festival in an Auvergne village. To complete the piece, the artist created a matrix and then a negative mold. The mold is placed under petrifying water rich in calcium carbonate, which covers it entirely with limestone. This realistic painting is a true document of everyday life in Auvergne.
